The LIT program at Camp Chris is designed to develop future leaders, offering hands-on experience, leadership training, and personal growth opportunities. It bridges the gap between camper and counselor, providing young individuals with valuable skills to lead and make a positive impact.

• Hands-On Leadership Experience: Gain valuable, real-world leadership skills by working directly with campers and staff.
• Develop Essential Leadership Skills: Learn how to lead confidently through guidance, mentorship, and active participation.
• Professional Feedback & Growth: Receive constructive feedback from experienced camp professionals, ensuring personal and leadership development.

LIT 1 (Age 14+, entering grade 9): Combines learning leadership skills with working alongside younger campers, plus fun on one field trip per cohort (TBD). LIT1 programs run as a two week program, as a cohort, and is offered for the following weeks:

Cohort 1: Weeks 3 and 4: June 23- July 3, 2025 (weekdays only, no camp Friday July 4, 2025)
Cohort 2: Weeks 5 and 6: July 7 – July 18, 2025 (weekdays only)
Cohort 3: Weeks 7 and 8: July 21 – August 1, 2025 (weekdays only)
Cohort 4: Weeks 9 and 10: August 4 – August 15, 2025 (weekdays only)

LIT 2 (Grade 10+): Builds on LIT 1, offering more independence, deeper leadership responsibilities, and opportunities to develop programming skills. LIT 2 is open to for weekly registration starting Week 3.

• Nut free lunch and snack
• Sunscreen – applied before coming and reapplied frequently
•  We suggest that cell phones and other personal electronics remain at home. Should they come to camp they should remain in backpacks throughout the program day.
