Eagles Sports Camp is proud to present Boys Basketball Camp: Elite Shooting and Offensive Skills.  We are committed to helping players elevate their game by honing their shooting abilities and mastering offensive skills.  Our camp is designed for aspiring athletes who are passionate about scoring, creating opportunities, and taking their offensive capabilities to the next level.  Led by St. John’s Prep Varsity coach, David Clay, participants will immerse themselves in a dynamic and focused learning environment that fosters skill development, strategic thinking, and competitive excellence.  

Here’s what you can expect from the Eagles Elite Shooting and Offensive Skills Boys Basketball Camp:

Shooting Mastery: Our camp places a strong emphasis on the art of shooting.  Participants will receive expert guidance on shooting fundamentals, including proper form, balance, and hand placement.  Through intensive drills and personalized coaching, players wil;l refund either techniques for various types of shot, from mid-range humpers to three-pointers, layups, and floaters.

Offensive Skill Development: Beyond shooting, our program targets comprehensive offensive skill development.  Coaches will delve into essential offensive tactics, including effective dribbling, ball handling, and strategic decision-making.  Participants will learn to read defenses, navigate through opponents, and create scoring opportunities both individually and as part of a cohesive team.

Strategic Game Understanding: Understanding the game is key to offensive success.  Our coaches will provide in-depth insights into offensive strategies, helping players grasp the nuances of game flow, positioning, and effective plays.  We emphasize not only individual skills, but also how to contribute to a team’s overall offensive prowess.

Live Game Simulations: Putting skills into action is a crucial aspect of the camp.  Through live game simulations and controlled scrimmages, participants will have the opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills in real-time situations.  This hands-on experience enhances their ability to make quick decisions and execute offensive plays in a dynamic setting.

Competitive Challenges: Engaging in friendly shooting competitions and offensive challenges adds an element of excitement to our camp.  These activities not only motivate participants but also foster a healthy sense of competition that drives improvement.

Skill Progression: Our structured program is designed with a clear progression of skills.  Participants will start with foundational concepts and progressively move through more advanced offensive techniques.  This systematic approach ensures that each player builds a solid skill foundation while advancing at their own pace.

What to Pack in Your Backpack:

• Refillable water bottle
• Nut free lunch and snack
• A basketball (please make sure you put your name on it)
• Indoor court attire – no outdoor shoes are allowed on the courts 
• Swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes if in the Stay and Play program
• Please label all belongings with a first and last name
