Camp Chris: Senior Camp
Registration opens January 3, 2024!
For campers entering grades 6 through 9
Welcome to Senior Camp at Camp Chris, an exciting and transformative experience where campers in grades 6-9 embark on a journey of independence, leadership, adventure, and personal growth. Our camp is designed to cater to the unique needs and interests of young leaders as they transition from middle school to high school.
Senior Camper groups choose their own name, and they get to make lots of great choices! When in camp, they get to move more independently, and make choices for many periods of the day on what they would like their day to look like. Because the groups are blended most of the day, we do not honor friend requests for this age group – they will make new friends, and see their old friends often. Enrollment in this program is strictly limited, as we need to accommodate field trip sizes.
A Safe and Supportive Environment: Safety and care remain our top priorities. At Senior Camp, we provide a secure and nurturing environment where trained counselors ensure the well-being and growth of each camper. Our staff is experienced and dedicated to creating an environment where campers can explore and develop leadership skills.
Leadership Development: Senior Camp is a place where leadership skills are cultivated. Campers have the opportunity to take on responsibilities, lead group activities, and make decisions. We encourage them to become role models for younger campers, fostering a sense of responsibility and self-assurance.
Learning Through Adventure: At Senior Camp, we believe that learning is an adventure. Our programs seamlessly blend education with exploration, encouraging campers to take risks, step out of their comfort zones, and learn by doing. Activities include STEM, team challenges, and activities that spark critical thinking.
Friendships and Teamwork: Senior Camp is where lifelong friendships take root, and teamwork is central. Campers build bonds with their peers through collaborative activities, group adventures, and develop essential social skills that will serve them well in their future endeavors.
Varied Activities: Senior Camp campers have so many choices to make, including activities such as swim, gymnastics, sports, STEM, Creation Stations, Gaga, archery, Camp Store, drama, arts and crafts, camper choice, all cohort and all camp special events, and more*!
Weekly Field Trip: We’re so confident in Senior Campers, that they are treated to a field trip every Wednesday:*
Creative Expression: Creativity is celebrated at Senior Camp. Whether through arts, writing, or public speaking, campers have the opportunity to express themselves and let their creative talents shine, creating lasting memories.

Cherished Memories: Senior Camp at Camp Chris is where your child creates cherished memories, hones leadership skills, and forms lifelong friendships. It’s more than just a camp; it’s a transformative experience that sets the foundation for a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and personal growth.
