For campers entering grades 2 and 3

Welcome to Middle Camp at Camp Chris, a vibrant world where campers entering grades 2 and 3 embark on a thrilling adventure of learning, exploration, and friendship.  Our camp is specially tailored to cater to the unique needs and interests of young adventurers as they transition from early childhood to their elementary school years.  

Named after nautical creatures, our Middle Camp is feeling more confident, and gets to explore more of our program offerings!  Many Middle Campers come in and out week by week, as they are eligible for our Exploration Camps, and love to try new things!  Their Camp Chris group is waiting for them when they return, ready to hear about their adventures, and create new memories and friendships.  

A Safe and Nurturing Environment: Safety and care are our top priorities.  At Middle Camp, we provide a secure and nurturing environment where trained counselors ensure the well-being of each and every camper.  Our staff is experienced and dedicated to creating a supportive and enjoyable environment.

Learning Through Adventure: At Middle Camp we believe that the best learning happens through adventure and play.  Our programs seamlessly blend education with exploration to stimulate young minds, encourage curiosity, and nurture a love for the great outdoors.  Campers engage in a wide range of age-appropriate activities, from storytelling and nature discovery to arts and crafts.

Varied Activities:  Middle Camp will have so many things to do each day, including activities such as free swim, gymnastics, sports, STEM, Creation Stations, Gaga, Camp Store, drama, arts and crafts, all cohorts and all camp special events, and more! *

Friendship and Teamwork: Middle Camp is where lasting friendships bloom.  Campers build bonds with their peers through teamwork, group activities, and play.  They learn the value of cooperation and develop important social skills that will serve them well in the years to come.

Creative Expression: Creativity is celebrated at Middle Camp.  Whether it’s through painting, crafting, or imaginative storytelling, young campers have the opportunity to express themselves, letting their creativity flourish while making cherished memories.

Outdoor Play and Games: Physical activity is integral to child development. Middle Camp provides opportunities for campers to enjoy games, sports, and outdoor play that keep them active, healthy, and having a great time.

Building Confidence: Our camp empowers young adventurers to gain self-confidence and independence.  They are encouraged to make decisions, take responsibilities, and grow as individuals.

What to Pack in Your Backpack:

• Refillable water bottle
• Nut free lunch and snack
• Swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes (goggles optional)
• Sunscreen – applied before coming and reapplied frequently (bug spray optional)
• Please label all belongings with a first and last name
