Early Dismissal / Late Arrival
Need to pick up early or drop off late?

We offer two Early Pickup times at 12 pm and 2 pm. We know these times aren’t perfect for every situation, but we ask parents to adhere to these two times – they allow us to keep safe rations and make sure that your camper is ready when you need them! Please call in advance to arrange an early pickup.

If you can’t make it camp on time-late drop-offs happen in Memorial Gym, and then we’ll get your camper out to the program as soon as we staff available to bring them to their group.

Going to be absent? Please call the camp office.

Bus transportation is only available to campers who have registered.  Spaces are limited- please visit our register link below to add bus registration.  Bus Registration closes on the Monday before your camp week starts.

Please see our family handbook for bus rules and expectations.

Our bus stops do not have a restroom- please encourage your child to visit the restroom before you leave.

Please check your child in with the Summer at St. John’s bus monitor every day before departing the bus drop off area.

When picking up, please be prepared to show ID or Pick Up Pass every time.  If you are late to pick up, the bus will move on to the next stop with your camper on board.

Camp Store

Campers grades 2 and up will visit the camp store at least once a week.  The camp store offers campers an opportunity to purchase mementos of their time at camp, and/or snacks and cold beverages. The camp store is cashless- campers purchase items using their camp store funds that you supply through your CampBrain account.  Click here to learn more about the camp store.

Dressing for the Weather

Here at camp, we have fun rain or shine!  All campers have indoor spaces and options in case of rain (except 4 day sports specific camps, who may postpone a rain day to friday, or just play outside in the rain), but do need to go outside to move between activities.  If the weather forecast calls for rain, please pack a rain jacket (no umbrellas, please!) and a sweatshirt- most indoor spaces are air conditioned and can get chilly if you're a little damp.

Medical Corner

Camp is staffed with two nurses and two assistant nurses each day.  You can reach them through our camp office number or summeratstjohnsnurse@stjohnsprep.org with any questions you have.  A few reminders:

  • Campers' meds should not go in backpacks, but should be handed to counselors at arrival.
  • Meds need to arrive in their original containers with perscription labels.
  • Meds must not be expired.
  • Please make sure that your camper's med forms are all up to day and uploaded in our parent portal.
