School’s out! Celebrate with the most amazing four day adventure camp, designed for independent school students who want to kick off their summer with a blast! This camp, unlike our usual programming, runs 8-4pm Monday through Thursday, so we can pack in more over-the-top trips and adventures! Note: Some trips may require an early start/later finish. We will share these times with as much advance notice as possible

Let us handle all the planning, bookings, and logistics—just a few easy clicks, and your camper will be set for an incredible summer journey!

Monday, June 9, 2025: Take Flight Climb, zip, and navigate more than 65 high-flying obstacles at Maine’s largest aerial adventure course! Push your limits and challenge yourself at heights up to 48 feet in a thrilling, team-building experience.


Tuesday, June 10, 2025: Level 99  Step into a world of live-action challenges, immersive game rooms, and physical and mental puzzles at this cutting-edge interactive experience. Work as a team to strategize, compete, and win!


Wednesday, June 11, 2025: Yankee Fleet Fishing*  Set sail from Gloucester for a private half-day deep-sea fishing trip, guided by expert captains. Try your hand at catching haddock, pollock, and more while taking in the stunning ocean views, and you get to keep what you catch!


Thursday, June 12, 2025: Isle of Shoals trip with Plum Island Kayak– Paddle through the breathtaking open waters of the Gulf of Maine to explore the stunning Isles of Shoals. Led by experienced guides, this journey offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to kayak across miles of ocean, spot marine life, and explore the historic island landscape.

Important Information for Parents: What You Need to Know About Daytrippers

  • Adventure-Filled Program: Perfect for thrill-seekers in grades 6-9 who love daily field trips and outdoor exploration.
  • Easy Sign-Up: We handle all bookings and logistics, so your camper enjoys a stress-free, memorable summer.
  • Well-Staffed & Safe: Minimum 2 counselors per 12 campers, with added staff for larger groups. Partner organizations are thoroughly vetted.
  • Rigorous Activities: Daytrippers’ activities will be more rigorous and demanding than on-campus programming. Some specific needs may be difficult to accommodate due to the nature of activities provided by our partner programs.
  • Key Details:
    • Full-day, off-campus program (8am – 4pm), with no late arrivals or early dismissals.
    • Safe transportation in St. John’s Prep vehicles, driven by trained, certified staff.
    • Some partner organizations may require additional waivers for camper participation. Summer at St. John’s will send these waivers to caregivers two weeks before the start of each weekly program.

What to Pack in Your Backpack:

  • Refillable water bottle
  • Nut free lunch and snack
  • Swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes (goggles optional)
