SUMMER CAMPS
Arduino Programming for Young Innovators
For campers entering Grades 6-9.
Unlock the world of electronics and programming with our Arduino Programming class! This hands-on course is designed for students who are eager to explore the exciting intersection of coding and hardware. Through engaging projects and experiments, students will learn how to program and control electronic devices using the versatile Arduino platform. Each student will take home their own Arduino kit at the end of camp, so they can keep working on their skills. Some prior experience with any text-based programming language would be helpful for this program.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Introduction to Arduino: Understand the basics of the Arduino platform, including how to set up and use the Arduino board and software. Learn about the various components and sensors that can be connected to create interactive projects.
- Fundamentals of Electronics: Gain a good foundation in electronics by learning about circuits – basic components such as resistors, capacitors and more advanced components like sensors. Discover how electronic components work together to build functional devices.
- Programming Basics: Learn to write simple programs using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that interact with hardware components.
- Hands-On Projects: Apply your knowledge by building exciting projects. These projects encourage creativity and problem-solving while reinforcing programming concepts.
- Innovation and Creativity: Encourage innovation by designing your own unique projects. Use your newfound skills to bring your ideas to life.
This camp is presented with our program partner CodeWiz.
