Mike Evans is a UK native who moved to the United States in 2009 following his service in the Royal Navy. With a strong foundation in leadership and youth development, Mike began his stateside career in summer camps, working for several years as an outdoor adventure specialist. He later transitioned into the classroom, where he taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade general education for several years.
Mike expanded his impact beyond the school day at Shady Hill School, where he oversaw their extensive Afterschool and Summer programming. In 2021, he joined St. Johnโs Prep, bringing his passion for experiential learning and community-building to the schoolโs dynamic summer camp programs.
Outside of work, Mike is a proud father of three daughters – all of whom attend Summer at St. Johnโs – continuing the familyโs deep connection to camp life.
